We are a specialist cheddar cheese company based in the World Heritage site of Blaenafon. At present we produce eight very distinctive cheddars and four varieties of goat's cheese. All our cheeses are hand made at our shop in Broad Street Blaenafon. Our Pwll Mawr cheddar is actually matured at the bottom of the mine shaft at Big Pit mining museum and can be bought at their gift shop.Mountain Tours Mountain Tours offers guided walks and mountain bike hire for the able bodied and disabled with a range of speciality cycles. Our guided walks are in and around the World Heritage Site of Blaenafon, South Wales. These are from easy rambles around the town to a 2 day pre-booked expedition. Our mountain bike routes will suit the able bodied and disabled. There is an optional pick up service available at 3 points along one of our suggested routes. Blaenafon Cheddar Company & Mountain Tours present Father Christmas Sleigh Event
13th December This year sees the return of Father Christmas and his sleigh on his tour around the houses of Blaenavon. The route is confirmed as follows: Start from the World Heritage Centre down Church Road, follow down to the slip road to the roundabout and then 1st left onto New Williams Street to Market Street; turn right into James St,then left into Ton Mawr Road and first right into New James St into Griffin Ave. The sleigh will wait alongside the green by Capel Newydd hill for children to come and meet Santa. The sleigh will then move left onto Coed Road up the hill and turn right into Llanover Road. Turning left at the Pottery pub up Giles Road where it will wait at the junction of Bryn-welon Close for children to come out. Moving forwards along Upper Coedcae Road to Hillside Ave stopping at Ael-y-bryn for children to come out. Moving forwards along to Upper Woodland St and stopping at Elgam Green for Children to come out. Moving forwards turn right following past Elgam Chip shop and turning left into Phillip Street. Left into King St and following into Broad St, right into Lion St and left into High St, left into Church St, left into Ivor St to stop at the Crib in Market Square. Returning to the World Heritage Centre for tea & hot mince pies, and for the Children to meet, give letters and receive sweets from Santa. Collection bucket for the lions on Route | ||||
